Last August we wrote a blog post about Eircodes and what they were. Since then things went a bit quiet on the Eircode front.

On April 27th TheJournal.ie announced that the first Eircodes will be issued in Mid-June 2015, so what does that mean for your business?

Eircodes have produced this booklet to help businesses prepare for the roll-out. The main points of the preparation recommended is that you need to think about adding your own Eircode to your address. Think about how many print items you have you address on, including headed paper, compliment slips, business cards, leaflets, flyers, brochures and roll-ups to name just a few.

Now is the time to think about how best to manage stock levels of your business print items. You need to make sure that you don’t run out of them which could limit your promotional opportunities, but at the same time you don’t want to order a large print run of items before you receive your new Eircode. Another thing your business may need to consider with the introduction of this new system, is the need to update online and paper forms if you collect contact customer or client information.
